Buenos Aires, January 19 (NA) – The International Monetary Fund (IMF) confirmed its favorable outlook for Argentina, projecting economic growth of 4% in 2026 and 2027. The institution had already praised the country's performance in 2025 and the government's economic direction under Javier Milei. Argentina will far exceed the average for Latin America and the Caribbean, which projects an advance of 2.2% in 2026 and 2.7% in 2027. In direct comparison with the major economies of the bloc, local dynamism stands out: while Brazil would decelerate its pace to 1.6% in 2026 (with a rebound to 2.3% in 2027) and Mexico would maintain moderate rates of 1.5% and 2.1% respectively. According to the IMF's work, globally, the country stands out on the scoreboard of the 30 economies that concentrate most of the world's GDP. According to the 'World Economic Outlook' (WEO) received by the Argentine News Agency, the country ranks as the eleventh economy with the highest projected growth, being surpassed only by high-dynamism emerging markets such as India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Egypt, China, and Saudi Arabia.
